In this context we would like to invite and bring together schools from the Central and Eastern Europe region and present our networking and learning community, as well as quality and knowledge services. Business School Deans and/or their delegates with responsibility for quality assurance and continuous improvement should be profiting from this workshop.

As a network of business schools and enterprises, EFMD is dedicated to improving the quality of management education worldwide. The first part of the workshop will introduce the EFMD membership community and highlight the key challenges that schools are facing today, both locally and globally.

The second part will guide participants through the benefits of the EFMD network, services and activities. The range of these activities extend from accreditation/certification (e.g. EQUIS, BSIS, EOCCS) to project work, professional development and general community building designed to strengthen the overall well being of today’s business schools. The discussion will focus on how these service offerings are capturing current market trends such as the rising importance assigned to relevance & impact of management education, the shift towards multidisciplinary thinking in knowledge generation and teaching, digitisation of learning and many more.

Deans and Vice- Deans from Leading Faculties and Business Schools in the region will share their experience and answer the following questions: Why should a school aim for accreditation? What are the accreditation pros and cons and how can EFMD bridge the gaps on the path towards excellence?

EFMD offers a portfolio of services supporting business schools in their efforts to achieve market recognition. It consists of institutional accreditation (EQUIS), degree programme accreditation (EPAS), online course certification (EOCCS), business school impact system (BSIS) and an institutional mentoring scheme (EDAF). The final part of the workshop introduces participants to these offerings with special focus on their commonalities and distinctive features. Participants will learn how to utilize these services effectively as part of their institutional development strategy.
