Demonstrating impact has been a focus for Learning Functions for quite some time, yet in most organisations, a gap exists between what learning functions currently measure and the impact that business executives and learners want to see. The LIFT Certification Framework allows a learning function to engage their stakeholders in analysing how learning delivers impact to them in a spirit of continuous improvement and align their views based on industry best practice.

Impact Certification

LIFT provides the Learning Function with an externally recognised certification based on how it approaches and delivers impact to its learners, its organisation and society at large.

Development Tool

LIFT provides an outside-in perspective that allows a learning function to:

  • Determine its level of maturity in approaching learning impact as a guiding principle throughout its value chain.
  • Confirm the current impact delivered through use cases.
  • Gain insights into how to further mature its approach to impact.

Open to all

LIFT certification is open to all learning functions irrespective of their EFMD membership and is valid for internal and external branding for a period of 3 years.

EFMD LIFT Framework

The LIFT Learning Impact Framework comprises four standards:

How does the learning function’s impact framework(s) take into consideration learners, the organisation and society at large?

How does the learning function apply its impact framework(s) in the design, run and follow-up of its solutions?

How does the learning function involve the learning team, learners, the organisation and society at large in measuring its impact?

What and how does the learning function report on impact and how is it acknowledged by stakeholders?
