The COVID pandemic has caused one of the most significant educational disruptions in history. Despite all the accelerated challenges, the EFMD Central & Eastern Europe Community is successively serving, supporting and gathering members in regional activities, innovations and developments.

EFMD CEE Community‘s events have pivoted online, where members engage in our short- and long-term distance training & learning offerings, online “coffee” discussion and many other knowledge sharing activities.

AACSB, AMBA & BGA, and EFMD stand together in solidarity with the people of Ukraine

'I have truly enjoyed all the webinars and online events where EFMD had shown its flexibility and strength to quickly adapt to changes and where everyone gave their best. EFMD has shown to all of us how crisis can be used as an opportunity and taught us at the same time how important it is that we go back to our core values and life mission of serving each other through educational lenses. Throughout EFMD events we have also encouraged each other to have even more hope that we are doing things well and that we all have common aim to nourish business education and management development. And, that in this important mission, we are not alone.'

Zrinka Gregov

Senior Lecturer, VERN University

'Cooperating with EFMD has been a much rewarding experience. As an Academic and business consultant, I appreciated the compelling purpose of EFMD to be on the verge of developments in education and integrate business practice and academia, for the benefit of all stakeholders. I am a dedicated reader of EFMD's publications and I always find something new and intriguing that helps me become a better professional. I appreciate that research published is relevant and provides extremely useful insights into how the future will be in terms of business education and its impact on the performance of people.'

Business Education in the Emerging Market Economies

Academic quality, internationalisation & Innovation

Even though the global pandemic has inevitably shaken the lives of every business school, it has also provided the exciting opportunity to embrace the uncertainty and embark on designing a new pathway to education challenges.

On this new journey, many questions arise: what to do to keep pace and yet remain attractive? Is a globally credible accreditation a way forward to help us strengthen our programmes and teach us to remain unique? What are and will be the raising trends of post-pandemic education?

This two-day online seminar provides you with an opportunity to join our international community and speakers. Diverse backgrounds of selected speakers, experienced faculty leadership and participants from a diversity of schools will create a rich learning experience for discussions around current challenges, dilemmas and possible solutions, taking into account contextual differences of schools.

Being part of the EFMD community is very enriching for an institution. Apart from targeting higher standards and engaging in continuous improvement for business schools or programs, it also provides a connection to other valuable institutions. For those who are just starting, it is a long but fruitful journey to become a much better business school/program. For those schools that have already achieved accreditation, it is a sense of satisfaction that many improvements have already been accomplished. Whether you are new to this journey or not, the ultimate goal is to continuously improve and become better regardless of what your current standing is. It is an opportunity to stay on top of the latest developments in business education.

As the Dean of the Bang College of Business, I find it to be very important to share our EFMD accreditation journey and experiences with other institutions in Kazakhstan as well as the Central Asian region. This way, we hope to guide and inspire other schools and programs to take on this accreditation journey and contribute to the improvement of business education in Kazakhstan and beyond. This is also the wish of Dr. Bang, President of Kimep University. I believe this online workshop will be an important milestone towards achieving this goal.”

Executive Academy - Europe Stream

The empowering development programme for senior teaching & learning professionals

The Executive Academy is a state-of-the-art leadership development programme designed specifically to address the needs of senior leadership roles in business schools.

It adopts a holistic approach, starting with building a solid foundation through a Leading oneself module, allowing participants to explore in depth their own leadership style, strengths and skills to focus on. It continues with Leading others and Leading programmes/institutions, delving into leadership in the context of the specific institutions and teams, as well as in the context of the current challenges of management education as a whole.

The goal of the programme is to equip participants with tools leading to deeper understanding and awareness of their own skills, qualities and purpose in order to thrive as a leader in the digital age business school environment.

Interactive online programme for quality assurance professionals

The Quality Assurance Academy (QAA) is a comprehensive training offer for business schools’ quality assurance professionals. It focuses on developing leadership competencies and managerial skills to meet the diverse professional challenges encountered daily in quality assurance/quality management (QA/QM) work in business schools.

The QAA cuts across all major quality assurance frameworks to develop and refine the participants’ understanding of the underlying methodologies and their purpose. Therefore, it is seen as a general qualification opportunity rather than training to support a specific accreditation project.

The QAA is offered to the EFMD membership and the wider business school community in partnership with Academ by RimaOne.
