ABOUT THE JOB FAIR
Co-founded in 2016 by EFMD and the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, the Job Fair for PhDs in Business and Management is a two-day event that brings together job-seeking PhD candidates in all areas of management with faculty and recruiters from international business schools and universities.
During the first three editions, more than 100 schools from all over the world sent their representatives – recruiters and candidates – to take advantage of this opportunity. Among them, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Monash Business School, Audencia Business School and IE Business School.
Recruiters from international business schools and universities looking for entry-level faculty to complete their academic teams.
Final year PhD students or PhD graduates in all areas of business and management* seeking an academic career.
* Accounting, Finance, Information Management, Management (Organisation), Managerial Economics, Marketing, Operations Management, and their sub-areas.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
- In the morning, the candidates present their job market paper to recruiters in a 15-minute research presentation, followed by a 5-minute long Q&A session.
- In the afternoon, the recruiters schedule on-site interviews with the candidates they are interested in.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will be invited to indicate the open areas for recruitment in your institution.
Three weeks in advance, you will receive relevant information about all the PhD candidates through the event’s webpage, organised by research and teaching areas.
You can schedule your interviews before the event or after listening to some candidates’ presentations.
You can book private interview rooms or use the common facilities at the school.
AS A CANDIDATE
You are expected to upload the following documents:
- your CV
- your job market paper (the job market paper is the best paper that the candidate has written so far on his/her research. It can be already published or not, confidentiality is guaranteed)
