Full membership is for business schools actively involved in management development.

AFFILIATED
Membership

Affiliated membership is open to organisations located outside of Europe.

As an affiliated member you have:

  • access to the majority of our services
  • access to the EFMD portfolio accreditation
  • preferential rates to attend EFMD events and programmes

ASSOCIATE
Membership

Associate membership is for newly formed business schools which have not been in existence for a sufficient period to demonstrate the viability and quality of their activities and programmes.

Associate members are accepted for a period of three years, after which they will be reviewed again by the Membership Review Committee and considered for full or affiliated membership.

As an associate member you have:

  • access to the majority of our services
  • preferential rates to attend EFMD events and programmes
  • access to the online membership overview

APPLICATION PROCESS

Formal application

A school that wishes to become a member completes two application formsThe application forms can be requested here.

Profile questionnaire and referees

To complete the membership application process, two additional forms will have to be filled in.

  • The profile questionnaire, a detailed document describing the school and specifying its interests and expectations.
  • The reference documents. Each application needs to be supported by two EFMD members.

Membership review

Once finalised, each application is reviewed by the Membership Review Committee, which sits twice a year. The Committee then submits the membership applications to the Board of Trustees for approval. 

Approval by the General Assemblies

The Board of Trustees passes its proposals to the Annual General Assemblies, which meet in June. It is during these Assemblies that members are officially ratified.
